when Drake says he has no friends in the industry he’s projecting
To him, anybody who has a seemingly sincere relationship with a peer that isn’t based on business or clout boosting is actually getting cucked and fleeced. Drake thinks the only reason he’s friendless in the business is bc he sees through the lies unlike everyone else. This is narcissism.
The using the heart emoji under a comment of your friends kid as a cover art and as this huge gotcha tells it all
Drake literally doesn’t know what a genuine friendship looks like
Yeah I think Drake expected it to be mentioned but didn’t expect a hit out of it.
His mistake fr.
Kendrick literally built it up perfectly to the audience as they were waiting to hear it as a big diss. Releasing it as a hit song is KILLER. There’s loads of viral tweets of people begging Kendrick to drop the pedo bomb
Drakes manager inviting Millie Bobby brown to the concert in Austria 5 years ago was really the domino piece for all of this

Yeah this is nail on the head. Everyone was waiting for Kendrick to mention pedo, turning it to a hit was very strategic
Using people for clout is the Drake model though
Such a dumb argument because the vast majority of Drake's collabs are with people that really don't have much clout at all
Yeah this is nail on the head. Everyone was waiting for Kendrick to mention pedo, turning it to a hit was very strategic
He did a lot of things right, I want people to discuss his tactics more in celebration of Kendrick’s W.
I have no idea why some people on here are so fixated over the opinion of biased Drake stans in small moments between the tracks.

Overdoing it a little with the hate no? Isn’t the idea of the industry being fake and not having any genuine friends within it, a take that a lot of artists agree with?

same applies to his hatred of anyone who has a fulfilling relationship. it's why he can't help but bring up women in every diss song he makes, one of his biggest insecurities is that he's almost 40 and paying for hookers because none of his relationships ever worked out for him. he would love it if everyone he dissed was secretly just as unsuccessful as he is in that department. when you get down to it, drake is a very bitter and miserable person.
say what you want about the newer generation, they're a lot more thoughtful when it comes to music than the ones that came before them. if millennials were still the tastemakers we'd be talking about how family matters won the beef because it had the most quirky meme lines and IG caption worthy lines. to this day it makes me shudder to think that back to back actually has a legacy as an all time great diss song because standards were so low in 2015 lol.
Actually facts , b2b overrated as s***, winning a battle with meek should not be considered a flex just like clowning Bruce Willis older acting after you know everything
Using people for clout is the Drake model though
Cloud would be him jumping on a Taylor swift or Maroon 5 track
I think he genuinely likes hip hop and working with the up and comers, but he will always be seen as an outsider culture vulture for obvious reasons

bro moved sloppy the ENTIRE beef
Feel like dude got too comfortable to fast which is crazy after just coming off of Push.
Family Matters was cool but even between the 15 minutes it got to shine we were already asking "The nuke is next right?" Not knowing that was it...like cmon man lol

Mal posting the bunker pic on twitter and viet on here was so cringy aswell
The reaction to the one shot ai song is an example of what would have happened if Kendrick dropped a weak diss. Look out how Drake and his crew ran to claim it as a Kendrick song. I’m pretty sure that’s the level they rate Kendrick on going by how they approached this whole beef

Pusha T touched on this in an interview iirc, the women/relationship angle does seem that way with Drake. I think he himself through songs has admitted that search for a “partner” to be a vulnerability for him.
Revisionist history
It's overrated, that's just facts. It's a crowning moment for drake not rap
Bottom line is that Drake did not take this beef seriously at all and thats what bit him in the end.
Sorry bro sometimes my copy paste doesn’t work on here but if y’all check yachtys Twitter it’s fckin hilarious they’re all going at him for saying he respects Kendrick too 😂😂😂😂
Damn, he can't even give props no more? Lmao

B2B was a flex because meek although very long ago even at that point was a battle rapper

Nah, you just being revisionist rn
Kendrick even referenced the record, it's apart of history. Looking back on damn near everything you could say it's overrated

I don’t get the Bruce Willis part
dude launched an entire media campaign
he even shouted out Kai Cenat on Push-Ups, Kendrick was spot on with that master manipulator s***
idek who it was but i think it might’ve been @SegaDreamFlash that said he shouts out people to get them on his side to try to control the narrative, he did the same s*** with Meek Mill and shouting out AR-AB that was tied to actual street s***
It was me.
And yeah that s*** did lead to actual street s***.
Drake had Dipset on. stage in NY then all of a sudden Jim Jones dropping Pusha T diss tracks too

A lot of people are realizing that he just lucked up in that battle. If meek wasn’t a total idiot that could’ve been a win foe him.
