You want to hear about your societal issues from DRAKE? Why?

No I don’t mind not hearing it from Drake, I just don’t like that he tries to clown other people who do have content like that in their music like its a bad thing to rap about

This would be perfectly fine, since we don't need everybody to be Black Thought in this mf, if only Drake didn't just call dot a "fake activist"

It’s a good line about Kendrick previous deal. Idk why you are so headstrong in trying to diminish it. If anything, you can have this same energy for the Big D line

Damn for some reason i thought you were more rational but youre just a d***rider

Why is he expected to? You got niggas like future who been around just as long with even more projects talking bout nothing but codeine, strippers, d****, and guns. Nobody said that was weird lmao

    Odd take

future's biggest hit he touches on racial issues in the chorus you disingenuous stan

This is always a weak cop out
Drake has a huge platform, if he could talk about societal issues in a genuine way then ofc i would. If he can’t, thats a slight against him

    Thats not his lane

So he has the same amount of lines as Drake on social issues…. But I’m disingenuous

    Gotcha

    Don’t know what point you’re making….

for the record i never expected drake to be a socially conscious ass nigga, ion think he ever had that depth

but i was saying that maybe it wasn’t expected of him but he was def aware of some desire for him to talk about s***, and eventually downplayed his opposition being “conscious”

Bro unrelated Keef’s interviews for Almighty So 2 have been some of the craziest growth we’ve seen from a rapper. I’m so happy he’s still alive and able to have this growth, so many rappers from that era died before they could.

The length niggas go to defend Drakes dumbass actions is corny.

Drake is clearly capable of speaking on black issues but doesn’t choose to which is fine.

But his main criticism of Kendrick being a fake activist rings hollow when

    1) Dot has spoken more about these issues and was seen in the protests

    And

    2) Drake only brings it up on some defensive s***. Bro brought up cop killings in his diss against Meek cuz Meek called him out for ghostwriting. Then he had that line on Scary Hours 3 “White America says I’m becoming a threat. Black America reminds me of what my mom looks like, as if I’d ever f***in forget” he clearly was using his racial identity here to do the classic biracial angst s*** to deflect these criticisms.

How is he seen as a threat to white america man
