Right now in this particular beef I’d say Kendrick
I think Drake still got Blacks on his side even though I am a Kendrick fan
Once you get into hip hop fans, you're probably right. But for regular people it's probably Drake.
Same. I'm always here for the raps. I'm just saying that rap is in a very weird space now (mainstream rap, that is), and the fact that in 2024, the biggest rappers are niggas in their late 30s and 40s, isn't a good thing. There aren't enough people coming up to replace the ones who are on their way out. The music is as terrible as it's ever been. S*** isn't ideal.
This
Cole is the best pure rapper out of the Big 3 which is why he’s in the top spot at 1. Papi’s Angels and Kendrick’s Kult will never admit this but true hip hop historians know what I’m talking about.
It’ll pick back up eventually. We’ve just had a growth spurt since all of the last generation legends all died and the new gen is stuck without any guidance like the eras before
How exactly do you see that happening? I admit that it's much harder to become a legit star now than it was back in the 2010s but even just in terms of having people like Drake, Cole, Kendrick — dudes who care a lot about the art form, can ACTUALLY rap their asses off, can also make hits and are mainstream staples. That's a dead breed already. These new artists don't care about this s*** as much as them 3 do. Most of these new artists are just here to get a bag and dip. They don't even care to compete in any way. They don't care about longevity or legacy. It's all really bad when you take a broad look at the current state of things.
I fear we'll look back at the 2010s era as the last great era of hip-hop and regret not appreciating the music and the acts we got from that era more.
Drake will go the Jay Z route..Release an album every 5 years instead of every year
I’d prefer this tbh, he has so much good songs in his albums that surrounded by skippable songs. If he took his time he’d make a classic again. He’s like Eminem to me. Bad albums but a couple dope rap songs

Kendrick’s Kult

Maybe Drake should find real talent to push and not tik tok artists like 4Batz
Is y'all rap fans
Me saying I want Drake to retire means I'm not a rap fan? You don't think he's done enough and given enough?

i have a friend who thinks this, honestly couldn't care less about cole's technical abilities because i find his songs dull and unmemorable but i guess i can see why a fellow writer would appreciate him.
I do not why but I have feeling that drake will stop soon.. anyway he said that he wants a grateful exit 1 year ago
He has enough money to leave this s*** for good and I hope he does before it all goes to s***.

There’s always a period where people say hip hop is dead cause the mainstream is pushing garbage rn. And there’s some promising young artists that are making crazy s*** and have the time to grow.
Which one of yall was f***in divine? Was it @s ?
It was one of yall mods. How tf did you shut her up in bed?
It’s a big 3 with distance between top 2 and him. I like Cole but no one is putting him in the goat category like the other 2. People want Drake vs Kendrick because that’s the two best from era. As a Kendrick fan, for me seeing Drake vs Kendrick is exciting. Cole to me is good a tier below and doesn’t offer excitement in this beef. Also, Kendrick went harder at Drake and Cole just caught strays.
They’re just in here coping. Getting off whatever narratives they need to in order to protect their hero. You’re not engaging in an actual discussion.
Drake just gotta take time with his albums tbh. No need to release every year to stay relevant anymore. 2010-2015 drake was him jumping on features which was dope af. Same thing cole is doing now.

Cole a goat. Anyone would agree
