I hate that there's a distinction between rapper and artist! Rapping is an artform, all rappers are artists, this some urban category type boxing in with very racial undertones. Kendrick is a better rapper Kanye is a better artist sounds weird to me. Perhaps I'm getting it wrong too idk just how it sounds
There's a distinction between singer/vocalist and artist too.
Rapping is a skill, a talent in the same way that singing is.
"Artist" refers to the overall package.
It has nothing to do with race.
Like, you can say Adele is a better singer than Beyonce, but Beyonce is clearly the better artist.
