jynthpeople were framing this beef as the potential kiss of death for the genre but it lowkey feels like it may turn out to be the opposite. it’s wild the amount of kids I’ve seen dissecting the lyrics across these songs who normally wouldn’t care about that stuff
and then you have the BBL drizzy challenge. I wouldn’t be surprised if the future leaders of the rap are somewhere under those hashtag rapping like the rent is due
also, not only has kendrick brought in a whole new wave of hip-hop fans, he’s also earned a whole new younger fanbase for himself, who didn’t realize just how crazy he is because they were too young for his initial run. hiphop baby

The stories about his parties are literally just where everyone is invited, not insidious to where he hits people up directly, literally everyone went to the party and in all these stories Drake himself is barely seen until the night is almost over. Again blown out of proportion as if he is hosting teen parties when it's just a party and people who know people send out invites, now should they ID people absolutely! But a lot of that is just party culture where everyone just comes, it's not some exclusive invite only thing.
Also half the time Drake is never there, I went to one myself and got in cause I knew a guy, mostly just everyone dancing, listening to music, talking, the wildest thing I seen were people doing bumps in the middle of the dance floor. - May 9, 2024speedy chiron boy

he gave us hints of it on the heart part 5 but MM wasn’t that kind of album so it makes sense that he wasn’t barring out all crazily
