Extending a bar like that in a punchline is just common
That’s borderline like saying “the Kendrick song is in 4/4 time just like drakes how did he know to respond with that, can’t be coincidence”
It’s just a common technique for a quotable punchline in battle. I feel like Not Like Us is more of Kendrick using the Back to Back formula against drake and going for that very quotable feeling and that’s where that influence came from.
