He is, and it wasn’t wrong of him to think that in theory.
But in practicality he never stood a chance of winning. His absolute best case scenario was by surprising people and not losing as badly as expected. He’d lost the PR battle (which was really what this was) years ago. Like 2018.
I think 10 years from now it will look less bad than it does now but him responding was a bad choice from the start. In the weeks after Like That I would’ve put $1k on a bet that he wasn’t going to respond because he knew how stupid it would be. But nope.
