Those are convenient excuses. Even if you remove every Drake project released this decade, he's still chart more albums weekly and his music would still be more consumed yearly than Kendrick.
That's cute but having hits doesn't make your music timeless, there's only few exceptions like MJ but Drake is not MJ as far as talent goes

Kendrick has (at least in the past) had some form of relationship with MJ's kids and has shown him a lot of praise. I disagree with your assumption that the line was disrespectful to MJ. You can say it's bad taste to reference the death of a human being, but there have been FAR worse said on diss songs that were celebrated
