I actually think family matters is a pretty good track that does its job while sticking to drakes lane. Drake wasnt gonna win trying to outbar Kendrick. My only critique from a content pov is, if im Drake, im saving less lines for weekend and rocky (as great as the lines are) and delving deeper on Kendrick.
The problem is the track needed time to sit with people but Kendrick swooped in like Batman knowing that the more time a track has the stronger the effect. The talk won’t just be about the songs, it’ll be about Kendrick dropping 20 minutes after Drake on some “I had this ready because of leaks” s***
