The funny thing about this beef is the angles.
Kendrick talking about Drake’s story: raised by single mother; Dennis being an absent dad; being a womaniser; gambler etc
Drake’s ace in the whole has always been his openness because despite all his impediments and faults he’s still loved for the artist he is. Even Americans, the land of Rap, call him the GOAT.
Whether you agree or not it is the impression of a lot of people and they’re willing to be honest about it and call a spade a spade. So Kendrick is really not denting Drake in that way.
But Kendrick markets himself as the activist, Black Jesus, etc and his fandom are used to loving him, idolising him as if he has no faults. So when Drake reveals this kind of Tea it being believed seriously damages his brand.
The fact it’s been shellacking after shellacking doesn’t help either
