I recommend you watch the Whats the Dirt video. Really explains the Kendrick/Cole subliminal war theyve had for years now. But this is all competitive, so im not getting your criticism
Its not a bad thing if Kendrick decided to go this way cos of Cole and Drakes output of the last 5 years and the consensus for fickle rap fans shifting
Until it actually gets personal or deeper than rap which i doubt, this is all good. And i agree theres no timer, but there has to be an appropriate response
If youre suggesting Kendrick has no right to go at them cos he wasnt active for 4 years from 2018-2022 thats silly. His body of work speaks for itself and he has one of the best selling tour runs oat with Morale
Never said he didn't have the right to go at them. I just think it's silly to act like Drake and Cole are the ones who have anything to prove. They don't.
Oh and can you link me to the video you're speaking of?
Yall also said this album wouldn't have future dissing Drake and that there was no beef lol they do w/e they want
I never said that. It was really only that Rosalie guy that was talking like that. For was too much smoke for there to not be any fire
Rap fans have never considered Drake as a lyricist. Y'all make it clear that distinction is for Cole and Kendrick alone. Y'all love to push Drake into the "he only makes hits" and "he's a pop artist" lane. Funny how he's the one y'all are desperately waiting for a response from now.
They are better lyricist than him but to assume he isn't is stupid. You can't be at the top for so long without being able to write good bars.
He may have fell off lately but stop acting like he ramriddlz or something
So this is a sub too?
"'Fore all your dogs gettin' buried"
Almost like Cole mentioned Kdot directly earlier too
The difference is everyone knew Kendrick was coming with smoke.
I never said that. It was really only that Rosalie guy that was talking like that. For was too much smoke for there to not be any fire
Agreed w/ the too much smoke.. All I'm saying is giving them a response now when you know there's something coming is a***ogous to walking into an ambush
"If I wait patiently enough by the river, the body of my enemy will float down"
“Everybody steppers well f*** it then everybody breakfast and I’m bout to clear my plate”
I don't get why this is considered a sub, especially when lines before he bigs him up. Kendrick doesn't own the word steppers
I don't even think Kendrick is mad about FPS per se, I just think he's on his spirit of rap competitive s*** like he was with Control and wants to remind everyone that he's a GOAT rapper
The Metro/Future context makes Kendrick's contribution seem a lot more personal than it actually is IMO
The popular opinion at that time was that Meek would easily beat him in a diss because "he used to be a battle rapper and drake wasn't built like that"
I disagree but they weren't battling. He won that beef off making a catchy song
They are better lyricist than him but to assume he isn't is stupid. You can't be at the top for so long without being able to write good bars.
He may have fell off lately but stop acting like he ramriddlz or something
You're not reading my posts. I'm saying rap fans have never seen Drake as a lyricist. He never gets put in that box. Only Kendrick and Cole do. They're the ones y'all consider "real rappers" over Drake. Don't try to change that narrative now.

Why not? You dont put Kendrick on the same level as them cos he didnt reguarly drop for 4 years? His relevance is still strong, and theres a reason Cole has been sneak dissing him for a while. Kendrick is still put above him by the consensus.
He’s not Joe Budden. Hell Drake responded to Push so why not Kendrick? Push wasnt exactly active in the booth until Daytona lol
I don't get why this is considered a sub, especially when lines before he bigs him up. Kendrick doesn't own the word steppers
Kendrick seems to have taken it that way so there must be some s*** behind the scenes. Maybe Drake got in his ear and had Cole acting funny
“Everybody steppers well f*** it then everybody breakfast and I’m bout to clear my plate”
God what a f***ing horrible line this is

You are using a generalization as a crutch of your argument lol you are a "rap fan" and likely believe he is a lyricist.
What we doing man
Drake had s***with Lil Wayne's girl while Wayne was locked up
What Would Weezy Do
Never said he didn't have the right to go at them. I just think it's silly to act like Drake and Cole are the ones who have anything to prove. They don't.

Oh yeah man im at work and its dead but just search Whats the Dirt and the kendrick/cole vid will be there
He uploaded it before this verse aswell, which makes it weirder
God what a f***ing horrible line this is
FPS has some rly bad lines lets talk about it
Some users care way too much about this!
Agreed now can you stop calling me at 3 am talking about drake has to respond

This is cap. Straight cap. If he wasn't upset at FPS, he wouldn't have made so many references to it and he wouldn't have aimed his shots at the two dudes on that song. He didn't just magically wake up and decide to "compete." Nah. Drake and Cole made him feel left out and he started seeing the narrative shift from it being him, Drake and Cole to it being just Drake and Cole, especially after his last album didn't have anywhere close to the sort of cultural impact his albums usually has. That's what has him out here beating his chest. Nothing else.
Agreed now can you stop calling me at 3 am talking about drake has to respond
I can’t help it I need papiconda to respond

Anyone not obsessed with this s*** I’m judging you
Anyone not obsessed with this s*** I’m judging you
I’ve got 2words for you:
Judge me

Again, I never said Drake shouldn't/can't respond to Kendrick. I'm saying rap fans acting like Drake and Cole are the ones who have to prove themselves now when they've been way more active than Kendrick is stupidity.
