for how cheesy (my personal opinion) and derivative logic's music is I cant deny that hes a 'student of the game' type of musician all the way through. and that also applies to drake, especially early on. but in my opinion at some point drake's career as an entity became his sole focus--so much so that it introduced all types of assets from outside of hip hop culture in an attempt to cross over and stay at the top. logic's music remains very much rooted in hip hop, although he had his detours with rock album or whatever the f*** that was he still returned to the original formula and stuck to it since

I agree with the original tweet not in a sense that one is a true rap scholar and the other is a nasty appropriator, moreso that one (logic) remained more rooted in the genre he came up in and the other (drake) branched out much more distinctly and significantly, to the point that while he remains a face of hip hop he is also not very representative of the genre as a whole
