- drake and cole were doing first person shooter and cole recommended putting kendrick on the song, which drake apparently didn't really want to do so he only sent kendrick the instrumental in order to "set him up for failure"
- kendrick was never supposed to be on first person shooter, he was supposed to be on another song rapping over the beat switch from first person shooter, then "something happened" and the song fell through so drake put the beat switch on first person shooter instead, the akademiks "what top five you smoking on kendrick" sample was gonna be put before kendrick's verse
