So even if excitement goes away, if Kendrick drops and it actually turns out good and Drake drops the following week and it is not as good as what Kendrick dropped (arguably people are saying Like that is still the high point of the beef and Drake is yet to match it) then Kendrick would have shifted the narrative and people will say “well Drake should have taken his time like Kendrick.”

I agree and I dont like that. Kendrick is soo precious to these media publications that he is gonna get away with this damn near unscathed. They damn near started discrediting drakes pen when he didn’t reply to push. Like some ppl legit fixed their mouth to say Cole is more built for this battle than Drake. And that Drake is not able to keep up with lyricists like Kendrick. so off base lmaoo. It almost sounds like some ppl started listening to Drake like 3-4 years ago

Yup, there is a reason Drake fans love bringing up Mr Morale when it comes to Kendrick but not It’s Almost Dry. One is far more memorable and impactful than the other.
Whilst push is a great artist he cannot shift the culture like Kendrick does everytime he drops.

In beef, the moment it starts and the moment it ends are thr only moments that matter. Kendrick is going to always get credit for pressing the red button, how it ends depends , otherwise drake was going to to respond eventually i find nothing amazing about that
If he gets credit for pushing the red button then he also gets flak for running away and not following through.
