Idk I haven't played since I was like 8
I guess your participation in the new Vegas sound tracks had me thinking you were post fallout show new Vegas replay gang? My b
Why do you think so? I don't think DAMN. is a classic but it's a very strong album from him imo. I guess I just wanna see a Kendrick that is okay with having fun on an album and rapping his ass off without feeling the need to have some overarching theme or having some huge message. He's given us enough of those already imo.
He can still have a message to some songs if he wants but I wouldn't want whatever message he chooses to get in the way of me just enjoying the songs for what they are.
I'll always champion the artist taking a step forward than retreading familiar ground unless it's specific stuff that I want them to get back to.
Yeah, I could wish the artist had a sharper focus like in their previous work but I'll take what they got next. That doesn't mean I gotta like it, but I can respect it. Rebirth was a s*** album overall but I respected Wayne for doing something different (+Drop the world was fuego)
Ngl I got KOD over MMBS too
Y’all niggas tripping man. ATM and motiv8 should have that comfortably behind Mr. Morale.
i read somewhere that kendrick diss could be on em new album

Rap is like a mountain
idunno why reading this reminded me of yelawolf
where tf he at
Listening to and discussing MMATBS again makes me just want a new Kendrick album even more than I want his response to Drake tbh, lol
I actually got the lyric wrong sorry it’s
“Humanity over religion”
I just will never take that as meaning “I choose myself”
Isn’t part of the rest of the albums implications that he’s actually choosing himself over the rest of humanity?
When he says he’s choosing humanity over religion I literally just took it as him realizing that the “loving your neighbor” and treating people humanely with respect is more important than religious dogma
The song isn’t about himself to me it’s about empathy for his cousin
The entire bar: the day I chose humanity over religion
The family got closer, it was all forgiven
It's not just choosing humanity over religion bur his family as well. Again, he is still choosing him over everything else, humanity just aligns with it this time.
There's another big shift in that end. He's been calling her by her old name or "he" and it ends with him calling her a "she" that ain't coincidence
I'll always champion the artist taking a step forward than retreading familiar ground unless it's specific stuff that I want them to get back to.

He could revisit what he achieved with DAMN and do it even better. That's always an option.

Motiv8 is a Class A Felony
That's crazy 😭😭
Mmbs was like the morbius of rap. I started liking it just to see how mf's would react 😂 s*** had minimal staying power
