Because I thought those songs could've been produced better and more intently. Those 2 sound like a Macklemore type song to me
Crazy take but u got it
Let's take Mr. Morgan and them steppers for example
Die Hard, People Hearts, Father Time, Auntie Diaries, Mother, I Sober
All those songs either suffer from a deep topic, getting spoken about in a surface level manner for the listener to understand more. As opposed to a TPAB where the music was the music, and the messaging was directed at the community that the music reflected.
Imo you can't go from "Hello, crackers" to making the music where the sonics are intentionally palatable to them
This is flawed, I think we underestimate how this album is a concept album, I'd like to attribute this to damn because that lp tried going for the mainstream and succeeded. With this album, kendrick is operating in 2 voices, pre therapy type energy where its hesitation and a display of all the projection he has without accepting his savior complex and other traumas and post therapy where he accepts or comes to terms with certain things, but also with his real voice interspersed between lyrics. I disagree with the surface level s*** cause on N95, he's the ignorant aggressive projector, it makes sense to list of all those superficial things as a means to hurt someone instead of coping with your own s***
This s*** sad man . Don’t harass his wife then be like “ she turned off comments “ well no s***
What a dumb fckin c*** using that ‘hm’ to suggest the stories are true. Of course she was gonna turn her comments off if stans are harassing her. She ain’t done anything to anyone to deserve this. Why don’t they tell drake to open his

Trans people say it’s transphobic

No problem kid who literally wants to f*** his dad
Get your funny up cuzzo. Repeating my jokes ain't it
Section 80 is a "conscious album" so is GKMC , is that also Critic Bait? Is critic bait just deeper subject matter to you?
No. For me, it's more about the lens he uses.
Alot of his work, to me, sounds like him "blacksplaining". Almost like lecture based content for white people who feel guilty about their history.
Its like alot of black film.

F***ing weirdos man

Repeating jokes on how you stare at your dads p**** in the shower oedipus Rex?
So critics liking something means it was made with them in mind?
No I didn't say that. And I made at least two caveats to delineate that I wasn't saying that lol.
Stick to d***eating your lord Kenny
Trans people say it’s transphobic
i dont think its' transphobic and none of the trans folks i am friends with think its transphobic
you just said what sort of person calls a woman that transitions to a dude the f word, when he literally used that word to illustrate a portion of his childhood when he didn’t know any better + drew a parallel to his hypocrisy at his anger at a white lady rapping nigga on the stage with him, but didn’t understand the harm behind flag
you’re a low tier troll
I think he could’ve put something in there toward the end to kind of explain or tie together the switching of genders and pronouns through the song
Honestly would’ve been more interesting for him to have a revelation based around that rather than the F word
Since pretty much everyone knows slurs are bad but what if he drove the point home that misgendering is wrong instead of leaving that part for interpretation
TPAB is critic bait too.
I cant speak to whether it is intentional or not. But that's definitely how I perceive the end product.
And if you look at how they responded to it (which is obviously a generalization), it seems like it was tee'd up perfectly for them.
He's kind of positioned himself as the "good, magical negro" which even he seems to have realized with his latest work.
“TPAB is critic bait” “I can’t speak on whether it’s intentional or not”
Crazy take but u got it
I think it's a more suitable music opinion to those who didn't grow listening to white music
im d*** eating Kendrick because you’re weaponizing trans people to criticize him?
Now I’m weaponizing trans people for saying a song is dumb?
I can go on on other s*** too which I did in this thread but this what you quoted me on
No fckin way I just seen this w**** in the replies. She’s still at it these days? 😂😂😂

Okay search Google and Twitter and there’s mad people who disagree but thanks for bringing your personal experience chief
“TPAB is critic bait” “I can’t speak on whether it’s intentional or not”
Yeah, something can end up being perceived as something, by me, that it wasn't made intentionally to be.
I would never try to define his intention.
Living vicariously through celebrities and inserting yourself into stuff that has nothing to do with like harassing people gotta be some of the most pathetic s*** you can do. Miserable people.
