2wordsGood point about the “blueprint”. That 3 album run is also very similar to Ice Cube’s first 3 as far as topics and ambitions. I think that was part of Kendricks blueprint too, like cube meets Ye
Good kid/Amerikkka’s Most= street level stories
Death Certificate/TPAB= Both have overt references to Uncle Sam, cube has dead Uncle Sam on the cover and Kendrick has a dead judge or whatever. More ambitious and worldly
Then Cube’s 3rd album has his biggest hit and has skits talking about the reaction to his last album and kendrick did something similar sampling the Alright criticism on DAMN. Major parallels
