Cole in his fnl/warm up days was rapping on the level of pre s80 kendrick if not better
That Nosetalgia verse is something crazy, I don't think Cole has ever written something like it

WESLEYS THEORYThe difference is Kendrick doesn’t seem to feel challenged by rapping anymore, but more so the musicality of it.
Whereas Cole is challenged by not only rapping, but trying to prove to the doubters why he belongs alongside Kendrick and Drake.
i agree with that. Kendrick already mastered his pen, he aint got nothing to prove to anyone as a rap artist and i think he feels that way too. Its deeper than rap for him
