Brotha on threads who initally thought the video was mid put into words better than me why this video was so much better than if he had just did a “hit em up” style type of mv

Nah this is a fire reading of it
Not giving an attention w**** what they desire type s***
i be tryna get into it but it's too much for me lmaooo
It's an acquired taste but ngl, first time listening I was like "wtf are you doing k dot
"
Maybe I’m late, but have y’all seen this?
“Reddit user u/stopcappin claimed two months before "Like That" dropped that Kendrick sent Metro a 3 minute verse taking direct shots at Drake. The final version of the song only had about a minute for Kendrick's feature. The user claimed that the verse was cut down because Future thought it was ‘too disrespectful.’”
Then I went to his page and he definitely said it way before Like That came out.

He also said Future and Drake fell out because Drake was talking s*** about him to a woman and it got back to him. A 3 minute verse on Like That would’ve been crazy.

Need this s*** to leak if true

Not many better feelings that playing God after a check clears and b**** or a nigga tests your patience
But its messiness is 100% deliberate. It’s an album Kendrick deliberately made the way he did for a reason. And imma be real, some of his best writing ever is on Mr. Morale. Some of his best work ever is on Mr. Morale. It’s one of those things you can take or leave.
Section.80 is still great to me but yeah it’s not my favorite compared to the ones that follow. I feel like he became a lot more defined as an artist moving forward beyond that album.
He doesn't tie it together enough on the album to show it's deliberate imo. Went from blaming his cheating on racism to throwing out the idea that the sexual abuse his mother went through and black people being sexually abused during slavery could be potential reasons. Other than a few lines on Crown, he also doesn't own up to the role he played in people having the Messiah perception of him they do
It's like he believes he's shed his ego and come clean by making this album but there's still a bit of pride in him and he's still making excuses. Jay did a far better job on 4:44. Niggas always want to heat up when I say this but hell, Denzel Curry did a better job with these concepts on Melt My Eyez imo
Also don't really care to listen to a lot of the songs on it. Like deadass half the songs are skips for me. Which is insane for a Kendrick album. Typed out a ranking earlier but didn't post it - MM&TBS was right at the bottom
That beautiful scene with Whit and the kids was amazing
I know too many houses that look like that
Is this trolling or desperation
That entire account is solely dedicated to deep throating Drake, so it’s best to just ignore all his posts tbh

If you watch closely, Whitney was tapping Morse code for “SOS”
(I don’t have Twitter, can someone Tweet this to see if Ak shares it?)

Bit of both. For niggas that stalked her IG, it’s funny they didn’t see her wearing a tank top in almost every post

We just gonna have to agree to disagree
Which is fine. As I said, it’s one of those albums you can take or leave.

Damn, I disagreed with damn near everything you wrote but respect
Still praying for a D’Angelo x Kendrick collab so bad, on some Black Messiah/ TPAB on steroids type shii
I bought a Rolex watch I only wore it once
I bought infinity pools I never swimmed in
I watched Keem buy 4 cars in 4 months
You know the family dynamics on repeat
What a crazy intro
I'm just realizing whit is wearing a wife beater in the video
They really clowning on this nigga drake
Ab Soul Outro
Rigamortis
It’s the perfect Kendrick album and one I recommend to newcomers to get introduced to him. It’s got bangers, tear jerkers, jazz rap, songs where he’s barring out, humor. Bit of everything
There was a period in high school I was listening to Ab Soul's Outro every single day I was walking to school and it would get me so hyped for the day
