I thought the beef would be a kendrick win thats debatable
This s*** is not debatable man
During the Control period I remember thinking nobody could beat Drake because he's as popular as he is. Thought if they were to beef, Kendrick would have the "better" diss tracks, but most people would still say Drake won
Never could have predicted Pusha T would beat tf out of Drake and then Kendrick would rinse him even more a few years later
It’s his weakest imo
Still a great album but nostalgia carries it
It was the first time a lot of people heard him and that hits differently than just another album you heard from him.
First 3 songs on sxn80 will have u feeling like its his best but overall nah
TPAB
GKMC
Morale
DAMN.
(UU)
Section 80
(BP)
Pretty much every album on here would be most artists best project too
If the top 3 doesn't include these 3
Real
Bro infamous now
worst side character to come from the whole beef
No makeup>>> momma
Jokes aside no makeup so fire, doesn’t deserve the hate it gets at all. Sets up Keishas song quite well
Doot, why are you saying something nice about dot? You know that's Haram
It’s his weakest imo

Yeah it's a personal fave

Some of the stuff on S80 didn't age that well to me
If the top 3 doesn't include these 3
Real
I'm cool with pretty much any ranking as long as TPAB is top 2 and the only one that I would accept being better is GKMC.
But even then I'd still argue that depending on if I was a few beers in

In 2013 that was damn near true but Kendrick was coming off of GKMC so that woulda been a hell of a battle even back then
Plus Drake gained so much hip hop respect with how well he handled the Meek beef, i wonder how Drake woulda favored in the Kendrick beef back then without the “he’s battle tested” narrative

But it’s Kendrick
He’s never dropped an album that made me go “Idk man…”
Every single one has its place and has been carefully curated.
He could end up with one of the if not the best discograph in hip-hop when it’s all said and done.
Wait what? Drake used to comedy hostings? lol
not like literal hosting like a comedy show, but you don’t remember bruh had like a 3 years stretch from like 2014-2017 where he was doing hella comedy? I think that was the last “authentic” era of Drake

Niggas might not like this but bro already has it lol especially if we talking solo

Yeah he tried to make Donald Sterling jokes, was on SNL and s*** I remember

Real music. Absolutely timeless stuff

Nigga hosted the espys for like 3 years straight. It’s why the gangsta persona just KILLS me man
Even Overly Dedicated is good man lol

Classic. Top 1. End of discussion
When's the last time yall played Love or God or Loyalty man
It is time to stop the cap
There is no way this man can top his prime works
I would be f***ing happy to be proven wrong
If he does then there is serious goat conversation down the line. As in, top 3. And undisputed too.
I disagree. Since Family Ties, I genuinely think he’s rapping better than he has in his entire career. In my view, though, MMATBS felt like it was made for Kendrick, not necessarily the fans. It had flashes of brilliance (United in Grief, Worldwide Steppers, Father Time, that one song where he said he was molested) but also a lot of music that seemed more cathartic than anything. I think Kendrick had a lot weighing on him when he made the album but he now seems in a better place mentally, and I think he could tell a story like GKMC or just make an album full of hits like DAMN. I have high hopes that his magnum opus is yet to come.
I be wanting to do my ranking of Kendrick's discography but after putting TPAB at 1 it's hard to choose between GKMC and DAMN as #2
