The only correct answer but definitely premature to say it atp
How so? Smino has 2 albums, some EPs, and a mixtape.
They have about the same amount of work.
Jay-Z put out an album every year from 1996 - 2003 (8 albums in 8 years).
2pac similarly put out 5 albums in 6 years from 1991-1996.
These guys were prolific, and their albums were not perfectly crafted. All their albums weren't considered classics or flawless. Their albums weren't concept pieces.
Kendrick goes about it differently. I think Kendrick legitimately has done no wrong in his career (at least since S.80), but he isn't producing content at the same frequency as those other rappers. I love both strategies because I love the immense amount of great Jay-Z songs I have in my collection, but I also love that Kendrick has such high quality and consistency in his albums. I also wish he wouldn't go on 5 year hiatus in his early 30s, but he's a true artist cultivating albums on a higher level.
Kenny is a godlier lyricist. The op highkey hating lol. However some of the other discourse ridiculous.
TPAB is an internet album. The revisionist history on that has been astounding. That s*** would not crack the top 5 of Hov discography tbh. We would’ve in fact violated Hov for even making it in his prime.
Section 80 not a classic. It was a good little nigga introduction album.
GKMC def a classic. Lowkey his only real one. DAMN second tho. A couple skips but s*** had everything you need.
All those in between s***s wasn’t hitting. All internet s*** that’s being gassed up.
This Kenny discography is perfection s*** is not true. He just better at putting together albums then his peers.
4:44 washed all that criticism away just recently. The Blueprint 3 and MCHG weren’t praised all that much. Well at least from hip hop heads for sure.
Kingdom Come is still trash lol, but I’ve seen that revisionist treatment myself.
Yeah blueprint 3 was hated on by the older crowd, but it attached more to the younger crowd that were growing up with kanye n cudi. Its a weird one but yeah im not a fan of it myself.
Agreed tho. I think 444 grandfathered him in permanently & upped him way more than he already was.
Wtt kinda did that for him as well but mchg got ppl trashing him again. That era of bp3 to mchg he was teetering back n forth with the love n hate. Then 444 was like the final cementing of his status/career in a positive way.
If BP 2 was only one disc, it would be up there. S*** was bloated asl
Def agree. Did not need to be two disc, should have been a cool 14ish album.
I can understand him wanting to take a stab at a double disc tho. Im sure most artists have the thought eventually, and with him being in for so long already at that point probably said f*** it why not.
Just sucks it wasnt that great as a whole, & sucks even more it has the "Blueprint" name attached to it.
S*** is so mediocre.
Lol. Jay isn’t being portrayed as being perfect like Kendrick.
“Kendrick Lamar is the greatest rapper of all time”
^ how to say “I dont listen to hip hop” without saying i dont listen to hip hop.
Nother classic, right back
My next album, the whole industry on a ice pack
With TOC
??? what the f*** is a TOC? we still never found out what this is was. Dude just rhyming random letters with each other
.
.
.
Pi equals three-fourteen
The devil's pie is big enough to justify th’ whole thing
First of all, that gotta be the most forced rhyme of all time
Second of all, what the f*** are u talking about my man.
.
.
.
Burnin’ castor oil, yo I been determined to make an earnin'
This seed in this soil is classified
Does this dude think castor oil is like...motor oil?
Also, what the f*** are u talking about my man.
Classic op tbh

What’s an internet album
How so? Smino has 2 albums, some EPs, and a mixtape.
They have about the same amount of work.
Kendrick has 5 whole albums bro what r u even saying lol
Bro should have said moon or something instead of star 💀💀
Nah cause he was going for the double meaning of Star.
Should have said
“If you a star, I’m a red giant”
Or
“If you a star, I’m a whole galaxy”
Nah cause he was going for the double meaning of Star.
Should have said
“If you a star, I’m a red giant”
Or
“If you a star, I’m a whole galaxy”
That would have def been way better if he wanted to stick to the star double meaning theme
Red giant one would have been hard & a lil big brain tbh
Watch the answer be some race s***
“Something something white redditors”
didn't he say something like "what do you think it means" lol? kendrick has a tendency to not really debunk any insane theories fans has about his music because he kinda likes having the mystique about him, i think. that's why he put out the reverse order DAMN. as a collectors edition, even though the album doesn't really make sense backwards.
It definitely does make sense backwards lmfao
ghostface killah said he says random stuff
Ppl only do it because they mad Kendrick gettin love.
ghostface killah said he says random stuff
Ghostface a legend for admiting that tbh
He didnt admit it during his active years tho, he let all them theories about Nutmeg & s*** fly n reaped it
What’s an internet album
Forums, blogs, critics praising it but nothing outside of the internet.
When TPAB dropped s*** was not really outside compared to GKMC and DAMN. Alright was the kind of the only one and to this the day the only song on that album I ever hear outside of when I personally listen to it.
