kendrick isn't a moral crusader who only associates with good people with flawless backgrounds. his perspective on the subject actually isn't that different from kanye's, he just doesn't go full edgelord and only collab with people who have accusations.

ultimately it was a rap beef, not a moral crusade, and everything kendrick did was in the interest of winning the rap beef. if drake didn't take it there, kendrick wouldn't have taken it further and they could have kept it about the culture.
