April/May makes sense as a deadline because his next tour date is in June. No way he goes overseas without any new music. Some artists can just tour for money and be done with it but a Kendrick tour is such a useful promo opportunity for himself and his label that it's bound to be tied to something new.

Drop a single in late April, start a promo run into May with warmup dates in major US markets and drop the album, then head overseas before a full fall tour in the US.

Nah mixing sessions in protools look wayyy different than that. Thats album mastering in protools and you can tell because theres audio tracks laid out in a line going down each track but mixing it would be all together not down a line
