I’ve been saying it for years: I hope Kendrick drops the critic bait s*** and just does an album about Love or something without feeling the need to be some kind of street prophet - which he isn’t close to being anyway.

You would see people saying “Kendrick doing what Kanye thinks he’s doing” but if anything it’s been shown to be the opposite. Kendrick does not have the artistic bravery to be his own person, which is why he’ll never have the cultural relevance of Ye or Drake despite the whole industry pushing it.
