Niggas on this b**** arguing about numbers on Thanksgiving
We're so finished
Christmas gonna be the same thing
imagine if he put not like us on this and did bundles lmao
If GNX had 24 tracks instead of 12 do y’all believe you would’ve spent twice as much time listening to the album this week?
No but the double amount of tracks would add more streams with basic math 😂

All made by drake nut huggers
I think albums from a huge impactful artist like Drake and Kendrick will get a lot of people who will listen to it in full. Obviously once you listen to it in full, you will pick your favorite songs and listen to them, or just skip the ones you don't like. But if we are talking the first bunch of days of streaming, then yeah, the amount of songs on the album matters.
I mean I agree with you but only so far. I think it does matter for that first listen as I’ve previously said, but a short album also means you can just replay it multiple times. If what you said was true then you would expect long albums to have larger second day drops in streaming numbers than short albums, since first listens would account for most of the first day numbers. But in reality that’s not what you see. All albums drop by about roughly the same amount from day one to day two.
For example you can look at FATD vs Her Loss (using two Drake albums to compare apples to apples here). FATD’s drop from day one to day two was -39.2%. For Her Loss it was -37.7%. Virtually statistically the same. But if FATD’s 7 extra songs only existed to inflate the first day numbers before listeners just add their favorites to playlists as you claim, then you would expect a much more dramatic drop for FATD than what actually happened.

Kendrick Stans have really ruined KTT by only talking about album sales

Most people aren’t replaying albums start to finish. They replay the songs they like. The potential for number of songs they like goes up when there are a higher number of overall tracks.
It’s very simple math

If a player shoots 50% on threes from two attempts per game then if he just starts taking 30 threes every game he’ll average 45 points.

You’re also assuming that artists aren’t already picking all the best songs for the album?

Huh?

1. Nobody shoots that well from three.
2. Your a***ogy is awful. A better a***ogy is:
Player A shoots 15 shots and finishes with 27 points.
Player B shoots 30 shots and finishes with 35 points.
Which player had the better game?
Huh?
If Kendrick added 12 more songs then the likely quality of those songs diminishes for each song as you would assume he had already chose the 12 best songs to be on the album. Meaning the likelihood of those new songs being somebody’s favorite then goes down. At a certain point you’re just throwing in filler

You’re missing my entire point on the pitfalls of extrapolation if you think your a***ogy is better

Quality is subjective. Every song has the potential to be someone’s favorite song from a record. There is someone in the world whose favorite song on For All The Dogs is Gently. Most people would say that song sucks, but there are people that stream it

The point is that one subject took double the attempts and only finished with a result that is slightly higher
F*** thanksgiving we still haven’t compared these numbers with the off season enough
