There's a s***load of momentum. Polling data suggests 60% of Americans have a generally negative view of Israel and a loud majority want us to stop supporting them with any degree of military aid. The music industry is one of those Zionist institutions that you mentioned. There are absolutely very measurable actionable items that artists can take within their professions, or instruct their fans to take, that don’t even need to venture beyond the music industry. Just like many of us normal people do within our own professions and careers to leverage change.

There’s been decades long efforts of artists boycotting Israel. This is just a sector of the boycott. The whole movement doesn’t center on that sector or Kendrick Lamar singularly. But yes, an individual does have the ability to contribute meaningfully if he cared to. Plenty of normal people without as many options do it everyday. It’s not his obligation to.

What do you think the BDS movement is? It’s professionals in their fields strategically leveraging their skillsets or influence to make israel more and more of an inconvenience to those very institutions or political actors.

It can be as simple as me as a civil engineer in California refusing to work with or allow contract bids to use construction equipment tied to settlement expansion and pushing my colleagues to do the same.

The problem was it wasn't uniting period. I was involved in 2 different orgs during 2020 and both fell apart due to "scandal" and people getting outsed and everything dissolving into inner politics and popularity contests. It was a truly disillusioning experience.
