When you make songs with beat switches you leave it so it can transition but without the switch it will sound more like an “ending”

It’s not an abrupt cut, the vinyl crackle is the transition moment and you add the next beat right there

The way it ends really says nothing about the authenticity. The drake “I was tryna keep it PG” part ends on a part where there’s more to come but is a clean edit. This is similar in that way. Meaning they could’ve both come from OVO which is what people are saying.

My hottest take on this site is that IYRTITL is overlong and drab. Drake sounds good on it but there needed to be more variety in tone/tempo if he insisted on 70 minutes.

NWTS is the most balanced Drake record. 40 at the top of his game, classic hits, Drake sounded hungry, not too many slow jams or bangers. Just a really solid album.

The beat about to switch and he starts yelling like Heart pt 4. This is just Kendrick song structure and an intro setting it up. He can’t come out the gate being weird he has to be a good communicator for a diss too, so I fully was expecting him to have a more straightforward style than like that.

Good take, I wouldn’t go as far as drab but as a bigger fan of soulful sounds than bangers, NWTS is the best balance and best project that captures all of drake’s skills
