I love Kendrick and he’s one of the greatest of this generation but Cole is catching up

Kendrick dusted Cole the day GKMC dropped and hasn't looked back

I would like to someday get either a Drake or a Kenny doc. Focusing purely on the beef

It’ll happen, give it 5-10 years, if that.

Neither of these tapes were anything of note, but Might Delete Later took it over by a hair. Tracks like Pricey, Huntin Wabbitz, Pi, Ibiza, were more to my speed. I just don’t see much replay value in Kendrick’s album and it’s clearly lower than all his other albums. Not even trying to diss Kendrick, GNX isn’t even a bad record but it’s nothing special.

I wanna see the point when they all switched. Maybe 2017/2016

  • Jack Antonoff and Sounwave been homies for a minute. Peep their group with Sam Dew, Red Hearse. Along with Sam Dew's album Moonlit Fools. Been producing tracks together as early as 2018.

Jack producing for Kendrick was basically bound to happen as soon as he started working with Sounwave and DJ Dahi.

You can tell Drake is getting burnt on music creatively and is more interested in becoming a reality-style celebrity or influencer these days so it’s a logical conclusion he’d put something out like this in the future. Honestly no hate to him for this, it makes sense he’d want that trajectory given the last like half a decade of his career and how much he hangs out in streamer spaces now

y'all ever see that early Simpsons episode called "Crepes of Wrath" where Bart gets sent on an exchange program to France and ends up working for those abusive wine makers, but then he escapes, learns French, and brings them down by alerting the authorities that they put antifreeze in their wine?

Yeah that's what this album feels like

See I think it boils down to personal preferences and taste, besides traditional west coast rap isn’t even my thing despite how much my profile picture collaborated with Dre and Snoop.

With that said I’m happy Kendrick took the crown this year over Lrizzy. He absolutely deserves it, and GNX solidifies his status at that.

As a fan it would suck, him going out like that would be shameful. Feel like the last effort he made was on Her Loss. After that you just see glimpses on a couple songs

Drake could be the next Joe Budden but on a way more mainstream level and I think a lot more people would respect him for that than music tbh
