That’s another thing for me I have never gotten into SZA like that. The only song I know I like is Good Days that s***s amazing. Tried her SOS album when it came out and wasn’t doing it for me.
I think I played Ctrl once and it was really good but just not one of those things I go back to. She was also good on Rich Baby Daddy
cool to find somebody else who's also not into sza's music

That’s wild but each to their own.
She has a pretty unique voice compared to her peers and I’ve always loved her honest song-writing. SOS is decent but I’d give Ctrl another listen, gotta be a classic album at this point.
Peakaboo kinda mid. The production is just interesting enough I don’t hate it but overall this is a pretty basic track that could’ve came from anyone else tbh. This is why I don’t think this is THE album because I know he has to be going 100 the whole time
Well that album is brilliant so makes sense
I agree, so many people saying this is better than Damn tho. Recency bias is crazy
Who are the weed carrier features on this btw? Admittedly I’m out of touch with the west coast rap scene but I have no idea who any of these guys are or why they’re on this album
this was used as a negative earlier in this thread its wild. 'hes tapping into west coast too much now' SHUT UUUUPPPP

Yeah I think I might bump DAMN just above this

Depends what the listener wants out of Kendrick tbh. Damn for me ticks pretty much every box, introspective, fun and dense/varied production.
This is a bit more direct with its approach.

Opening track
His 1st 3 albums from the early 90s are the best.
His new album is pretty good also.
Nah I know regarding the first three, I was more so asking if there is one album in particular you'd recommend to young Kendrick fans and why you want them to listen to Cube in particular right now beyond him being one of the greats
