I think ppl itt forget how forgiving the hip-hop scene is and how forgetful general audiences are.

Drake is absolutely fine imo there's even an argument to be made that beef was the shot in the arm his career needed as interest has been sorta waning for the last few years.

More eyes than ever on his next move and it should give him something to talk about finally.

    Man shut up

Niggas really went from "Kendrick fading from relevancy, thats why he needs this beef" in March to "Drake has been fading from relevancy this whole time, thats why he needed this beef" now

    Ya'll are hilarious LMAOO

Tyler The Destroyer's biggest sin isn't even making gaudy faux-artsy dreck, or even alleged grooming.

His biggest sin is f***ing up EA and prompting to Uzi to scrap it all in favor of what we got. Some of these sessions sounded heavenly.

Lmfao I guess it was more just when you start talking about serious topics on here the trolling/jokes gotta stop. Like we went from talking about iceman theories (potential new drake album/mixtape name btw)… to pedo allegations in like one page. So that’s what I meant when I was saying it just felt uncomfortable.

    F***ing tragic sequence of events

When he lost against Pusha in 2018, he was able to take that energy and make In My Feelings and Mob Ties.

Part of me believes he was hoping the 100gigs tracks would have catch on like those records and they didn't. Only Circadian Rhythm caught a slight wave but didn't have much shelf life for casual fans. 2024 clearly did not go as planned and may be fine, but it's in his court. I think he realizes he needs to let this beef subside and let have Kendrick have his moment.

in 2018 it was different. Yes Pusha has a lot of respect in hip-hop, and his s*** with Clipse like Grindin and Mr. Me Too will always be loved. But he's not close to Drake at all when it comes to popularity. And Drake was at his commercial peak when that beef transpired. Regardless of how people felt about Scorpion as an album, it's hard to deny his success with how big Gods Plan, In My Feelings and Nice For What were. And his features on Look Alive and Sicko Mode were also massively successful.

In 2024, people have grown tired of Drake, his last album was ass, he's pissed off a lot of his original female fanbase, the closest thing to his equal commercially just dog walked him and on top of that, the music isn't well produced like it was in 2018.

Nah I'm not even an OVO lieutenant, if anything I'm a bigger fan of Kendrick lol. Just think that ppl are too quick to make such assumptions about Drake's career.

I really wasn’t even posting about the drake album thread here tbh. I was talking about the 4 other threads I had been in today where people were crashing out for various reasons.

But I’ll recount my side of the story since I guess this is where it’s headed. Things got weird in the drake thread last night to the point where it was almost uncomfortable to even post. Sab made some good points and what drake did on stage was wrong and he could and should do better.. but some users in Drake sxn have a hard time admitting that.

somehow it just kept escalating to where one poster said 17 years old wasn’t a minor, etc. and he got a perma and then the back and forth just kept going on and on. I wouldn’t really call what Sab did crash out. It started off as a joke post if I’m remembering right (it was just about freeing @Davey) but it just dominoed into this massive back and forth story I told above.

yeah thats why i just said i was "observing" lmfao, was getting a bit weird and even tho i wanted to share some stuff about songs whatever i just didnt wanna be involved lol
