I’m leaning more towards this take
Why do you think he used a song not on album for the preview? And have ppl yapping about more to come? Cuz a deluxe version kinda defeats the purpose of a short concise album as well
Well I think a deluxe would stand more behind this statement rather than an entirely new second album.
ALSO
The trailer song literally sounds like it could’ve fit on this album. Why would that song belong to a separate body of work?
And why would he use a song from the “second album” in the trailer for the first album?
That’s like if Future and Metro teased We Don’t Trust You with All to Myself
If a nigga in march said that when Kendrick posted that GNX it was a hint that there was an album about it everyone in here would’ve said “you’re reaching” why would Kendrick do that
😂

i remember when niggas was like why would drake drop a suprise mixtape on itunes

I mean that’s different because we all knew an album was on the way.
We just got an album.
I’m not saying more music might not be coming, I’m just leaning towards it being a deluxe rather than a brand new album

I don’t think a FUTURE/HNDRXX situation would be that weird

Yes but FUTURE and HNDRXX sound like two totally different albums.
The song in the GNX trailer sounds like it could’ve fit on GNX

I don’t think it could ONLY fit on gnx though
That’s a direct shot at Cole
The even bigger one was “Since y'all pandering to choose a side, let me do it for you”
Which after listening to murals I can see why he wouldn’t f*** with Cole at all. Kendrick really looked at Drake putting money in the streets as potentially dangerous. Saying a crash dummy could actually hurt his family
If another album isn’t on da way I’m more than happy with what he put out
Replay value is brazy and has a bit of everything for us on it
But this time is different

"Who is he? Free lunch mm craft services"
Thought this line was clever because craft services are on set for actors— it's a subtle Drake jab
but then I also just found this from 5 months ago:
the program is called Free Lunch. Essentially Kendrick in this deceptively simple bar is saying he actually does invest in his communities, unlike Drake who's just an actor.
album got me applying the green tea face mask
I love doing a face mask in traffic especially Korean or Japanese
Women thinking Kendrick is a s***symbol is still crazy to see. I don’t I ever used to see that.
Men too including yourself
Is it safe in here…?
Love how the music video tracks always have something slightly different from the album version
My blick first, then God got me
probably reaching but I wonder if there's a connection to choosing "blick" and saying blood "like paint to me"
Is it safe in here…?
Oh. The thread hasn’t heard the news yet. Ok carry on..
