GNX (the song) was destined to be the ugly duckling just off the strength of the beat being more repetitive and less evolving then on the rest of the album, then the fact that Kendrick doesn’t even have a verse makes it feel that much more like something that would have been better used on a compilation tape down the line

ryuHI hate to bring this mf up but I just don’t understand why Drake hasn’t at least tried to compete with album quality after all these years.
If I’m Drake I couldn’t sit idly by and continue to watch Kendrick get all the album accolades while my s*** gets trashed. You would think he would utilize his resources to at least try to put together a focused effort that highlights his skillset and showcases mastery of the album format. Not every time but at least once in 10 years, I mean damn

Meanwhile albums that had a half tracking day usually do big 2nd days. Donda did 100m 2nd day, not quite the number GNX reached but 74m is not bad
