a couple tracks in, he's signaling to a lot of classic/"immortalized" rappers

    • "the blueprint is by me" -- jay z (the blueprint)
    • the thing about nas being the only one to acknowledge that he booked the super bowl
    • the release video uses ye's "ultra light beam" imagery (divine sun beaming inspiration down to earth).
      • this might sound like a stretch but ye has been obsessed w this image since at least the graduation album cover and has been using it recently in his east asian stadium shows.
    • he repeats "eyes on me" a couple times in wacced out murals -- 2pac (all eyez on me)
    • "i let lil wayne down" in wacced out murals

Might be a reach but thought him mentioning Nas bigging him up for Super Bowl and then “I let Lil Wayne Down over my hard work” might’ve been an allusion to Let Nas Down

Snoh is such a legend. Another thing about her is she’s becoming a staple at weddings with her songs. Been to a few now where the first dance was to a Snoh track. Amazing stuff

Facts Kendrick loves Wayne, he was just showing the irony of hard work which fit the broader context of the song

  • Nov 24, 2024

Seems like he’s more disappointed one of his hero’s threw a b**** fit and tried to make it about himself instead of being happy for him

It’s like doing something you think would make your father proud but instead he just gets mad it wasn’t him that did it

Wayne’s response was also wack as f***. He had a chance to clear it up but instead threatened to “destroy” him lmao

“I’m doing what Covid did, they’ll never get over it”

Basically saying Drake will never recover from the damage he did to him in the beef like some of the people who have lifelong effects from Covid
