Stupid question perhaps, does the album length and amount of tracks affect this?
Also what constitutes a "full tracking day" in this context? GNX dropped at mid-day, so is this 74m listens from midday to midday, or is it 74m in only 12 hours (ie. his Friday streams, day 1 of the tracking week), or is it his Saturday streams (because that was the first full day it was available?)
Genuinely curious.
First full tracking days of recent releases
GNX: 74m
FATD: 109m
Utopia: 129m
Could be completely wrong here but isn’t this technically his second day streams being compared to first day?
The whole "Kendrick don't got no quotables" crowd been real silent lately..... just sayin lol
My left stroke just went viral🫃🏻
"But does double the track means double the total streams? No."
Of course it does lol FATD had like 24 tracks lmao. Lets see what Drake does when he drops a 12 track album
I tell you this much: he cant come w another fatd
I don't think he ever will but I also don't think he'll pander to anyone. He'll keep doing what he's always done: make the music he decides to make — whatever that ends up being and whoever wants to support said music will and whoever doesn't want to, won't.
This is the same guy who surprise-released an entire dance album that absolutely no one asked for. He'll continue to march to the beat of his own drum, that's all I'm saying.

He doesn't have any quotables though, so I don't get the point of this post lol.

Shut up

GNX only had 7 hours of tracking on its first day, wouldn't be fair to compare 7 hours with 24 hours.
Saw someone on rym say that the 'sparse hyphy' sound on here sounded influenced by Clipping when they do more conventional west coast stuff
How did he go from gkmc damn and tpab to mr morale and this.
Fell off
Must be tuff to not be able to enjoy good music because of stannery

If you're a major artist, having a lot of songs on your album is helpful for garnering a lot of streams on day 1, after that, it's really all about how much people like your album. Sabrina Carpenter dropped a 12-track album and put up 8 consecutive weeks of over 100M US streams because the album had hits and album tracks people kept going back to. Meanwhile, someone like Chris Brown can drop a 50-track album and only manage 1 week with over 100M US streams.
Basically, if people really f*** your album and keep streaming it, the number of tracks doesn't really matter.
White comedian talking about black women. These r are type of people who complain about Kendrick being “too woke”

Damn i had no idea utopia did that much
I'm really happy with this album, ever since Family Ties I've wanted to hear him just bar out for a full album, no overarching concepts or anything

74? 😂😂😂😂
For context, it has 12 tracks and didn't get a first full day till day 2 of it's release.

It did well on Spotify Global but it didn't do that well streaming-wise in the US.

!https://youtube.com/ozV7XT9FkAY?si=ZHnXIPBDWS7KUhx7I hate Andrew Schulz so much, he's so f***ing unfunny.
I hate "comedians" who just say edgy s*** with no nuance and then hide behind the "oh my god ur just triggered bro, it's comedy" whenever they receive any criticism. Like every "joke" I've heard from him is just shock value racism . I'm not triggered, I'm just annoyed that you're famous and are completely unfunny.
