    ? Out of character post

as much as I enjoyed Drake finally getting his deserved shade my position on this beef overall is that it's a money milking venture from both parties in the end. it's just self-aggrendizing and enjoying the attention and not once saying anything about pressing issues like palestine or the completely ruinous state of the music industry rn.

Kendrick's post-Damn era has been rly underwhelming for me, not just because he used to stylize himself as politically outspoken, but it just generally seems like wealth is getting to him and he's lacking content that's rly relevant for the average listener.

mr. morale at least still had an interesting sound, not like us is still cool too but overall I also found the music a bit boring and it almost feels like he's sliding more and more into an eminem "greatest rapper alive" lyrical acrobatic but again just not with a whole lot to say. like yes he did a couple good incisive tracks taking down Drake but first off he's almost like too easy a target and secondly it's just getting stale now with the 7th diss

might not be an entirely fair critique cause I did not sit down and take apart all these tracks because I just pretty quickly got tired of it all, most of these I just listen once out of faint interest and yawn

not what I said. I do actually believe that the hostility is genuine, but at the end of the day both Drake and Kendrick got hit songs out of this, so many ppl are talking about Kendrick and Drake still. attention is money today and they both got their fair share.

they 100% entertained and dragged out this beef because it was lucrative

and to make it even and to make this whole situation even more cynical no matter whether Kendrick or Drake "won" the beef the real winner here is universal music group who get the most of the profits from it all

yeah he definitely addresses the industry in this

it is extremely lazy to write this off as just another diss song

Feel like he’s going to use the Super Bowl performance to make some political statement

why should anyone take anything you say seriously when ur admitting that you put very little thought into the music

Lacking content for the average listener

    Mr morale discussed

    Sexual abuse
    Daddy issues
    Toxic and abusive relationships
    Dealing with grief
    Going to therapy
    Working on generational trauma
    Savior complexes
    Lust addiction
    Forgiveness
    Transgender acceptance

But none of these relate to the average person 😂.

touche found this track too boring to even sit with the message. on revisit and checking lyrics u rite. I guess I at least sympathize with his sentiment then for once, still think it's a really boring track tho
