Also this is definitely an epilogue on the Drake battle. I don’t see how or why anyone would deny that. But an epilogue is more of a conclusion than it is trying to re-engage. It’s warranted and I think for someone like Kendrick it would be very weird if he just moved on from it without capturing some sort of reflection of what occurred and where he plans to go on from it. Doesn’t mean he’s trying to milk it. There’s a lot more hacky ways to do that. So I’m kinda glad he addressed it this way.
Song is dark as hell, Kendrick is clearly tired and disgusted with the state of the industry and the culture at large. If The Heart Part V was an attempt to relate and empathize with a culture he thought was on the wrong path, this is a condemnation and incineration. He no longer thinks things can be repaired, s*** needs to be destroyed utterly and begin again from nothing.
Oh yeah he said he feels for the women dealing with the clown and nerd s***
Drake is a clown and nerd so clearly he’s dissing him!
F*** me I just made the whole connection
The fact that now Drake fans make connections when he's talking about men acting like clowns and being bad to women to their Idol is a problem of their own making
"The man that resides in patience, so where the soldiers at?
The one's that lost it all and learnt to learn from that
A thirst for life, head inside a book 'cause he concerned with that
Information that'll change his life because he yearns for that
Dedication, findin' out what's right 'cause he can earn from that
I feel for the women that deal with the clown and nerd s***
Can't blame them, today they ain't really got much to work with
How many b****es harder than a lot of you niggas?
Would trade all of y'all for Nip, I can't be proud of you niggas"
Like that Nip solidified it for me bro lol
The Nip dedication verse was beautiful
Sorry I don't spend my days reading Kendrick Lamar annotations off genius all day and psyching myself into thinking this is the pinnacle of literature.
Who said anything abt kendrick
I’m saying basic reading skills
Yea you spend it on ktt 😂. Very productive of you.
Yes I spent my night s*** posting ktt after a day of spending time with the grueling works of Cormac McCarthy. You couldn't even fathom of engaging in such activities. The horizon ends at Kendrick for your dumbass.

They want Kendrick to diss him so bad
The no round 2 s*** was such a genius move, They gonna be screaming and crying over every song Kendrick drops now
Has to drop this year
Been a while since Kendrick has dropped a solo song that didn’t quickly lead to an album outside of the beef s***, if I’m not mistaken

This the best description I’ve seen so far
all these diss tracks are actually part of the upcoming album and are actually singles, and all of this is from the album, which we will later hear as a time capsule of the period when he went up against drake and the industry (and won, at least against drake). between them are songs about what took place behind the scenes, some more introspective songs and bangers, what he still wanted to say, express, etc. all of which are within the entire story and narrative we've seen so far and what's to come (and he controls that entire narrative since he's the main character, he already defeated drake). the last song is a celebration at the superbowl and then the album comes out and the story ends (at least for now).
against the industry?
stupid or delusional?
Kendrick aware of that God body knowledge
Destroy and rebuild

how you lose a battle to a holier than thou mf that beat up his wife
drake fumbled an easy W
a man being the industry favorite is talking about taking down the industry
short man complex
