They don’t have similar rap styles, i can see saying they make similar music but they are not similar rappers outside of both being lyricist

Kendrick is a lot more of a poetic and direct rapper, his focus has always emotion over anything.

Lupe is way more metaphor and word play driven, his focus always comes off as the art of putting words together.

I’m not saying Lupe isn’t emotional or Kendrick can’t do word play but they just seem to have completely different approaches to the way they rap, i wouldnt compare them

They’re about as similar as Nas and Pac were to me, especially pre Death Row pac
