  • Scary Hours 2 with 3 songs did about 100k album units. If it had 1 more song it would've charted. But are you saying you think it should've done 500k cause its shorter?

    ?

Apple payout for 1500 streams is actually more than $10.
What's shown here for Spotify is probably ad-streams

    God Spotify is so dogshit

How the f*** are they barely profitable while paying their artists such piss poor amounts

  • jynth

this isn’t wrong and the fact drake has never taken an extended break w/o dropping loosies or fs is kinda proof lol

the results would be very different if drake left for 5 yrs and came back w/ a mysterious ass rollout like this, then dropped an album that sounds nothing like he’s ever done before

    Tbh

Not sure if it's true but they have an ad tier which might be more of their consumer base. Their paid streams are a little comparable. I think it's like 0.007. Compare theirs to pandora and YouTube that are obviously ad funded also

This is the dumbest thing the mods did. They should just let a thread be made whenever numbers are released and keep it in that thread. This one is not even being updated.

    We’re just trying it out

    @thegreatdivine can you fix title

Give it another week or two and if consensus is that it’s not working we’ll switch it up

They ran out of arguments so now its “if drake took a long break and came back he wouldn’t do these numbers”

How so. You pay max 19.99 to listen to every music available but want distributors to pay more than pennies for every stream accumulated. It's a wonder how ad free platforms make money charging that little to access so much

  • May 14, 2022

Kendrick already is one of the top 10 debuts on streaming of all time

    He’s already won lol

kendrick album doesnt really have any mainstream songs, which isnt a bad thing, just that it means white moms wont be listening so his sales will be lower

Plus he took actual risks and turned off some of his fanbase + got the woke crowd trying to cancel him. For being “transphobic” and working with Kodak lol

Kenny really the goat man. He ain’t scary like other superstars. He’s true to himself

doubt it tbh he would have less streams per track if his album was 23 songs

I've been trying to tell people forever that streams don't just increase linearly with additional tracks. S*** has diminishing returns.
