Drake flopped?
You could say the same about Views & More Life, how many albums sounding like that were anywhere near as successful on streaming services in the 5 years prior?
I don't think this will be as big as Views/ML longterm obviously but the rap excuse goes out the window when you realise this did way better than DLDT
Streaming didn't blow up till 2016 so what are you saying?
Drake making a mysterious album honestly could be the best thing for this forum in a long while
Ktt after Drake embraces mysterious music

That wasn't an album. It was marketed as a demo of leaks even down to its name.
he never said it was a demo of leaks, ever. He literally announced it and then dropped it a few hours later, exactly the same as this
thinking millions of ppl aren't gonna listen to fresh drake just because "Demo" is in the same is silly
Wait ain’t no way Kendrick might outsell Drake
is the new top 3 ranking Kendrick, J. Cole, and Drake?
Drake flopped?
Zero promo. Announced a couple of hours before it dropped. Didn't send it out to critics before it dropped so they could give him perfect reviews. 14 Tracks. Experimental album. Last album still around top 10 most selling albums weekly.

Exactly and even if we're talking about non streaming there were barely any at all, they were both dead genres
and even since then there hasn't really been much at all that sounds like either.
Drake has always done this, he has never followed commercial trends, i dunno why you're so shocked at it

i stand corrected
UNDERGROUND HOUSE ARTIST AUBREY GRAHAM
Underground?
sounds mysterious man
folks when Kendrick opens album with the super mysterious United in Grief and has many other mysterious tracks: must be a garbage album if it's selling under 300k
folks when Drake makes mysterious house album that sells under 300k: It's still a great album it's just a weird sound!

Still thinking this does at least 300k. We’ll see
That'll depend on how well it holds and forget Spotify because it's as good as dead there. He'd need at least 400M US streams to pull 300k and I don't see that happening tbh.
Maybe it's an album that stabilizes over time but it definitely won't have a blockbuster week. That much was always certain.

Drake made an experimental album
Drake new album really might scare the hoes away
Still waiting for @TroyAveStan to let us know the status of this album's mysteriousness
Drake new album really might scare the hoes away
no just the degenerated rap listeners
I always knew it'd perform like this just off the fact that it's dance music. It's mad Drake fans who played a couple of songs and got turned off because they didn't like what they heard + they didn't get the rap album they thought they'd get. Even on AM, it's the two songs he raps on that are high on the charts. That tells you all you need to know.
S*** even the genre said dance they might not have hit play at all.
