His last album had a top 3 smash with Whats Poppin (Remix) and moved 51K fw.
Now he got a #1 smash and moved 110K (more than double). That's also the 5th best hiphop first week so far this year behind Bad Bunny, Future (222K), Gunna (150K) and Durk (120K).
How is that an L?
Future doing incredible ≠ Jack taking an L
Its an L the same way Dawn FM not debuting #1 its an L
No one saying the numbers are bad, but after all this talk, how he was gonna be up next, how he will do crazy numbers....
Debuting third its an L

ppl wanna treat that white boy with kid gloves. a flop is a flop
Y’all told me Bad Bunny was irrelevant in the US ??
He’s got the country in a chokehold

He is the biggest artist in the world. I’ve gone most major concerts in the last decade and Bad Bunny tickets cost me minimum 2x for same seats as Drake/Weeknd.

Weeknd going from 444K to 148K is a L
Not because it didn't go #1

Lol cause he got hyped on the internet he gotta take an L for selling 109k
Album is gonna do a tpab. I don't see it picking up like Damn did with how left-field it is
Even though 109K doesn’t seem bad Harlow album is still a flop bc we all know he would’ve done way more if ppl actually liked the album. Every projection for it just went further and further down bc people weren’t f***ing with it. Quality still matters for sales

The online narrative will decide where you fall in your projected band
Twitter doesn't like it = closer to minimum
Twitter likes it = closer to top or pushed beyond
Under 306k would be a flop imo. Especially after waiting so long.
I dont think Kendrick cares listening to what he says on this album tbh, and he off his label now too
When do the projections for the albums released this week come out ?
Most likely tomorrow
wait for u was stuck at #3 on the AM chart for hours and i thought kendrick was having a mediocre performance, but with this most recent update all of his songs surged and it's looking like what i expected. now we wait to see how he does on spotify and how consistent he is for the week
Future going another 100k in the second week is a great result for him.
Harlow was predicted to be in the 150k-250k range, right? These HDD projections aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on.

He was going up against the biggest artist in the world in 2022.
No one should have ever thought he was beating Bunny, that’s including HDD.

He’s got the world, never mind a country.
Dude’s got a whole continent in South America in the palm of his hand.
Got the kids to the abuelas rocking with his s***.

Replay factor definitely gonna hurt him.
Even songs like Churchill Downs that had a ton of potential hurt him. Dude basically showed that he’s working by the Drake formula and then Drake showed how out of his depth he is in comparison to the original.
It’s been a week and that album’s already not aging well.
I think Kendrick’s probably got #1 next week but if Future’s second week sales are a premonition it’s that Benito’s gonna be hot on his tail.
That dude’s sales have always been consistent.
Whenever I look at the Apple Music Top 25 city charts, places like Los Angeles have like 10-15 songs from his last couple of albums in the last 2-3 years all through it.
La Canción came out in 2019 and that s*** only just recently stopped showing up and will probably re-appear again as summer kicks back in.
How do we reckon Kendricks album gonna do on first day Spotify numbers
Probably good but AM seems to be the hip hop listener’s streaming service of choice so that will probably be where the bulk streams will come from.
Fewtch outsold Jack, what’s up with the thread title?
https://twitter.com/hiphopnumbers/status/1525233521505484800This is the dumbest thing the mods did. They should just let a thread be made whenever numbers are released and keep it in that thread. This one is not even being updated.
