Zayn decided not to put the work in

  • Jun 6, 2022

2016 is when he started experimenting (arguably too much) so the quality makes sense tbh

altho I don't get how he coasted when he tried so many different styles post 2016

coasting would have been making countless trap songs and collabing with the biggest pop artists surely. I genuinely do wonder what people would say about Drake if he actually went that path.

NFW, Passionfruit and Controlla will age the best out of Drake’s hits in the last half decade

Zayn only has himself to blame for how his career turned out. Harry Styles went solo and kept dropping solid album after solid album, while also establishing himself as an arena veteran and building his own loyal fanbase/following.

    Zayn is f***ing garbage

CLB having a better chart run than Scorpion so far is something I definitely didn't see coming.

    CLB (first 38 weeks):
    1-1-1-2-2-1-2-1-2-3-5-3-4-7-9-18-11-6-8-8-7-7-7-4-7-6-8-9-8-7-8-6-6-7-9-10-11-11
(5 weeks at #1, 34 weeks in the top 10)

    Scorpion (first 38 weeks):
    1-1-1-1-1-2-3-4-3-3-5-4-5-8-6-7-7-5-9-8-8-11-10-9-14-6-8-11-8-8-11-14-12-9-7-12-10-10

    Thought it came and went??

  • So unfortunate. He's way more talented than Harry and the other 1D fellas. Don't know where it all went wrong for him, his debut album was so good

clb the much better project as a whole. Scorpion has some bigger hits prob, but lacks the deeper cuts.

Does CB still break 100k if he stays true to not dropping a long ass album with Breezy?

I'm very worried about the first week numbers. Indigo did 108K, while HOAFM did 110K in its first full tracking week. But there was hype behind both albums and some semi-decent performing singles. The Breezy era on the other hand has just been flops. The first single Iffy was so garbage and it flopped big time. Warm Embrace is a very good song but it's a more traditional R&B song and they just don't perform well on the charts. But he is doing 0 promo, there's no hype and he is more focused on his NFT-project.
It got a lot of features but none that will help with streams.

I think it will do around 60-70K if he sticks to the length of 18 tracks. I guess it wouldn't be too bad for an R&B artist, especially for one who's been on the top of the game since 2005

Since when is Drake not considered a top tier Mc and what accolades hasn’t he gotten at this point he’s literally playing the rap game on some new game plus s*** LOL I’d argue he is the most well rounded MC of the last 15-20 years and that’s a legitimate argument
He gives u all the s*** you want from him constantly and consistently with amazing quantity with very little dip in quality literally nothing below 8/10 he checks all the s*** off the checklist of what an Amazing MC is sposed to be I mean he got the

I mean what more do y’all specifically want from Drake y’all act like he’s a one trick pony when he drops hits like “What’s Next” or “Way 2 Sexy” then ignore his more bar heavy s*** like “The Remorse” “Champagne Poetry” or say sun bullshit like “oh it’s the same old Drake” when he drops those types of tracks LOL I feel like y’all want him to start doing sum extra weird experimental s*** in order to fill this fake void y’all come up w

Future might have more substance than Drake ffs dude has never said anything of true substance in his career other than that awful No Guns Allowed song with Snoop lol can see why he never touched on such topics again, like a fish out of water that’s just not his lane. Hoes, brag rap and family/friends. Those are his 3 revolving topics. Unless you count talking about family and friends as substance. In that case he does it every other song on his albums and somehow finds a way to make it more boring than the last time. Impressive in its own right! Ain’t even gonna touch on second point we know the deal with that one

Drake has been number 1 for so long. It's just hard to accept for some people.

Could the music be better? Yeah, some albums haven't been all that or had filler like CLB, but other artists are having the same exact problem.
