what did Harry Styles do that Post Malone didn't tho? that's what I'm curious about. Post Malone is a more popular artist, yet the numbers aren't showing it for this one

Post was more popular in 2019. Post had a lot of casual fans None of his songs have connected over the last 3 years. Meanwhile Harry Styles has diehard Stans that grew up on his music and getting older and can now buy 300k+ physical albums.

Also Post Malone has been at odds with his label and this is what it looks like when the whole building isn’t behind your music.

Wonder what its gonna take for people to stop calling someone the next drake
Drake is a generational artist they don’t grow on trees but people can’t seem to get that lol

Too underappreciated. People gon be sad when he retires. Years of hating for nonsense

I don't wish bad for Lil Baby because he's kinda like the last hope for the new generation but for every artist that's ever been compared to Drake or been called the next Drake, their careers have died off or cooled off soon after. Just shows you how difficult it is to not only remain relevant but to remain dominant for as long as Drake has. No one is ever doing what he's done after him.

Lil Baby not it. Same flow, same songs, over and over. It’s enjoyable, sure.

The reason Drake, Wayne, Kendrick, HOV, etc last forever is because they can get on a track and do 100 diff things to it. They can approach it any type of way. These new artists aren’t really on that level of being able to approach every track in a diff way.

Sadly they ended it for good on June 3rd. SMFH. The new site is horrible

    wow

Yea I think Lil Baby is really good but he’s never going to be some legendary rapper. When you look at the legends before him and the ones currently cementing that status, they are all much more versatile.

Post said on Hot ones that this is his favorite work and he had more creative control than he’s ever had with this album cycle.

The label narrative is BS. At the end of the day, it doesnt matter if it’s his last album for them. Their bottom line is to make money. He just made the album he wanted to and he probably needs less creative control tbh.

If he really did that then he played himself because it's his career and his legacy at stake. If he stops being productive for the label, they can always drop him and push another artist.

I feel like Lil Baby's next album will be his biggest yet. I'm not sure about after that, though.

Is this project is just a little shorter than MT it’s over 🙏

we’ll see, hope he keeps the features lite

true but Harry Styles album is also destroying Post in terms of streams so I don't get it

I don't see what Harry did that Post didn't, except for a hot single I guess. But it's Post Malone.. he's like the 3rd most streamed artist of all time I swear

What do you mean by this though? because Post has been everywhere on traditional media the last few weeks.. did a few festivals too. Announced this album months ago... I guess I'm being stupid cause I don't even know what else his label could have done for him except get his single with Roddy pushed on radio more maybe

what did Future do for example that Post Malone hasn't?
