From 500+ to barely outselling Bad Bunny 4th week

Bad Bunny still selling more than 100k in his fourth week is honestly incredible, this album aint leaving the top 10 for a year atleast

i know people are probably tired of this topic but do you guys think there's any artist that's capable of hitting Drake's streaming numbers in the next 3 years? 567k streaming units for his last album (CLB)

I remember in 2018 I thought Post Malone was gonna challenge that eventually, but it seems like he has no core fanbase. In 2020 I thought Travis Scott would challenge one day based on how insane he was at marketing but after the incident there's no chance

If Bad Bunny's album remains this stable for the foreseeable future, he'll have the bestselling album in the US this year.

Here's a refresher on the top 50 biggest streaming weeks on the Billboard 200:
    1. Scorpion - 745 million
    2. Certified Lover Boy - 743 million
    3. Tha Carter V - 433 million
    4. Beerbongs & Bentleys - 431 million
    5. Legends Never Die - 423 million
    6. Eternal Atake - 400 million
    7. Scorpion (2nd week) - 391 million
    8. More Life - 385 million
    9. Hollywood's Bleeding - 365 million
    10. Donda - 357 million
    11. Un Verano Sin Ti - 356 million
    12. Astroworld - 349 million
    13. Eternal Atake (2nd week) - 349 million
    14. Mr. Morales & the Big Steppers - 343 million
    15. DAMN. - 341 million
    16. The Off-Season - 325 million
    17. KOD - 323 million
    18. thank u, next - 307 million
    19. Certified Lover Boy (2nd week) - 305 million
    20. Red (Taylor's Version) - 303 million
    21. SOUR - 300 million
    22. Scorpion (3rd week) - 290 million
    23. Folklore - 289 million
    24. I Never Liked You - 283 million
    25. Dark Lane Demo Tapes - 269 million
    26. Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon - 268 million
    27. My Turn - 262 million
    28. More Life (2nd week) - 254 million
    29. Harry's House - 247 million
    30. Views - 245 million
    31. Un Verano Sin Ti (2nd week) - 243 million
    32. Beerbongs & Bentleys (2nd week) - 241 million
    33. Dangerous - 240 million
    34. Championships - 235 million
    35. Lover - 226 million
    36. Kamikaze - 226 million
    37. Culture II - 225 million
    38. SOUR (2nd week) - 223 million
    39. Certified Lover Boy (3rd week) - 222 million
    40. Hollywood's Bleeding (2nd week) - 221 million
    41. After Hours - 220 million
    42. Evermore - 220 million
    43. Music to Be Murdered By - 218 million
    44. Scorpion (4th week) - 212 million
    45. Legends Never Die (2nd week) - 209 million
    46. Un Verano Sin Ti (3rd week) - 205 million
    47. DAMN. (2nd week) - 204 million
    48. Invasion of Privacy - 203 million
    49. YHLQMDLG - 201 million
    50. Still Over It - 201 million

With the exception of Drake, no one has ever come close to even 500M US streams. Lil Wayne & Post Malone came the closest back in 2018 but after them, the only other acts to even reach 400M US streams were Juice WRLD & Lil Uzi Vert back in 2020.

Long story short, no. Drake set the record for the biggest streaming week on the Billboard 200 over 4 years ago and almost broke it last year with CLB but I think even 4 years from now, if anyone will break/match his record, it'll be him. Post Malone was the most promising streaming act in the US 3/4 years ago but he's since lost that momentum.

You're not wrong about this. I can't count how many people online I've seen try to shame other people for revealing that they enjoy Drake's music. They'll try to shame if you think he even makes good music to begin with, which is something that I've never understood and is even more weird when you realize that they also listen to Drake but feel like the cool thing to do online is to act like you're not a fan of his music.

People online legitimately believe hating on Drake is some sort of personality trait.
