    Nah

Yes. Jay Z didn't start making music in 1996, yet that's the official start as his career. Nas didn't start making music in 1994, yet that's the official start of his career. Many people consider Section.80/GKMC the official start of Kendrick's career as well, I don't know why you're debating this.

Your career starts when you start making money from what you do lol

No, it doesn't. That makes zero sense. You can be making money from music and still be a nobody. Doesn't mean your career has taken off yet.

On *Spotify, maybe. But Drake has been the most streamed artist globally across all platforms every year from 2015-2021 and Bad Bunny isn't surpassing him this year either.

Bad Bunny is king of Apple Music as well.

But Ye wasn’t a nobody, he was producing for big names for a minute before College Dropout lol

Hes been trying to bait this whole thread by bringing up drake

I’m not baiting dawg. Its a discussion worth having, you know with Drake being as dominant as he is.

He’s finally been surpassed on a global scale.

I’m just proving you wrong, sure you got a point if you’re producing for nobodies but Ye was producing for Harlem World, Jermaine Dupree, Trina, Beanie Segal, etc from 98-04 lol

But the fact is that he isn't bigger than Drake on streaming lol. He's averaging 10B streams on Spotify per year. Drake is doing the same and has been dominating for much longer, not to talk about his dominance on Apple Music.

Bad Bunny is a force, correct, but that doesn't mean he's close to being as big as Drake is on streaming yet. Like I said, Drake has been the biggest streaming artist globally for the last 7 years and will probably take it this year as well. That's not something to overlook, even though it's exciting to have another streaming titan in Bad Bunny.

But you're celebrating Kanye West the artist, not Kanye West the producer. He has that many streams because of his work as an artist and his career as an artist officially began with the College Dropout. He even said that in his documentary so I don't know why you're against that.

Of course, he also has prolific career as a producer that goes way before that but it's the same way some people have been songwriters in the industry for mad long and have written for some of the biggest names. They don't official launch themselves as artists till their first official release as such. That's what I mean.

    We’ll never see another one

Bad Bunny also dropped his debut album 3 1/2 years ago so he’s competing Vs Drake and his entire discography going back to 2009. Kinda crazy if you think about that cause of all the hits Drake has.

Bad Bunny dropped an album, Drake didn't. It makes sense that he'd have more streams than him, at least on Spotify, where he's biggest.

Kanye career then started in the 90s (not that I believe that), discussing when a career starts matter little anyway what matters is how much you last in the top and Kanye has been in the top for more years than anyone not named Jay-Z or Eminem

No, I'm not. Drake is by far the biggest artist on Apple Music. He's the only artist to surpass 10B streams on the platform and he did it back in 2018. No other artist has done it since.

In 2020, Apple Music revealed their list of the most streamed songs on their platform and it was dominated by Drake. Some songs didn't make the list because they only announced songs that had a music video but it was predicted that most of those missing songs were Drake songs.

    There's also this:

Shorty you’re pulling up stats from 2018. There just isn’t sufficient data on Apple Music numbers. So much artist have surpassed 10 billion streams on Spotify. Artist you’ve never heard of.
