Fair enough. As I see it, I'm not part of the "us" Kendrick was referring to. It would be really weird if I called Drake a culture vulture or nodded along to someone else doing it.

And I think a lot of other people are in that position too, who were nodding along to the song. But that's just my opinion and it doesnt matter. The song was def successful.

Yes and your take is 100% valid. Hip hop means different things to different folks. For some it's more than a genre, it's part of their identity and culture so they will interact with it differently.

That's why this song to some like me is historic and one of the biggest statements hip hop has made. It's quintessentially a diss song that transcended pop culture and broke boundaries.

Crazy ascent for her. I became a fan when Messy dropped. It's been nice watching her mainstream rise.

I think she will win best new artist for sure

Loooool, Not Like Us is one of the biggest statements hip-hop has ever made.

    ARE YOU INSANE?!

What sort of d***riding is this, my God.

Had to Genius the lyrics just to make sure amberlamps wasn't an allegory for something that went over my head.

Get the entire f*** out of here.

One of the biggest songs rap has ever seen. Engrained in global culture unlike anything we had seen.

Enough for alts like you to come in and get triggered 2 years later

Leave The Door Open only had a 9% decrease second week.

What’s the last Taylor lead single to decrease as low as 17% second week btw since this is so bad lol

No clue, don't even remember the last time she released a single before the album, it was probably off Lover.

Taylor or anyone else's single performance is irrelevant. I was talking about Bruno and the fact is a 17% decrease is bad compared to his previous lead single.

YouTube removed this week, so the “real” decline is likely closer to 10% which is on par with his last lead single.

They also increased paid streams by 20% and free streams by 33% which is way more than any amount of points Youtube were contributing.

    Look at you scrambling.

That change happened before he released his lead single so what would that have to do with his 2nd week drop from his first week?…

  • iHype

You can take away someone's free streams entirely, and that 10% of their overall streams being gone would've still been offset by the remaining 90% of overall streams counting 20% more lmao.

You take away someone's paid streams entirely, and even with free increasing that'd be an 87% decline.

You needed paid streams to have the largest gains, not free streams.

Free streams are such a small component of streaming that their gains were absolutely overshadowed.

    You’re so fckn slow.

They removed millions of streams for the song COMPLETELY, so ofcourse there is going to be a small decrease caused by that this week.

YouTube also had paid streaming too.

Waiting on you to explain why a formula change BEFORE the song was released would help the 2nd week points compared to 1st week points when they had the same formula used

Incorrect. The YouTube rule came into effect January 16th. I Just Might released on January 9th.

I’m referring to him bringing up paid/free streams being reweighed.

The song was released AFTER that, so the 2nd week drop has no relation to that.

As I said YouTube was removed this week, and with those streams included the decline from first week would’ve been 10%~ which is the same as his last lead single.

This discussion was over when I pointed out how LTDO performed 2nd week compared to this latest single. Calling the drop bad wasn't dumb, you were just uninformed.
