Im going to call stupid. This isnt a bot situation this is a p2p through a click, where fans bought/streamed the album through an alt website, which is like a superfan direct to consumer market. These were self reported independantly outside of his labels marketing team who send the data to billboard. They most likely filtered it not because of "fraudulant reporting" but becauase of the rules they have with certain ways or album promo
nobody bought that album ☠️
Albums or songs, however you want to do it
I would appreciate hearing your take on this
And given that you have to pay attention to so much stuff to maintain this thread it would be intriguing to see which things really stuck with you, appreciate you

Billboard flags any activity their system detects as suspicious and removes it from the final numbers they report, whether that he suspicious streams/sales. It's clear that in 21 Savage's case, it was a case of fake/suspicious sales, similar to what happened with Nav not too long ago.
I dont agree it was fake sales but an error on how it was reported to billboard
She listed NF

That could also be a possibility.

Typed up my reply earlier and then my browser crashed
Appreciate the variety and the openness, this list has been a great reminder for some of the projects I missed or forgot about
gonna check out the Kelela & Tems albums this week, also think it's time I tap into Femi Kuti, he does a show with a black left OG i like
Feels weird that Bon Iver album came out this year but that's how it can be for albums that come out in the first few months of the year, was discussing music the other day and one of the people swore that the Bad Bunny album dropped last year
Thanks for sharing & have a happy holiday season

That's happened to me several times before. Sorry lol.
The Kelela album is one of the best live albums released this year imo and the Tems project (which functions more as an EP due to its runtime and number of tracks) ended up being more of a solid listen to me than her debut album that dropped last year.
The Bon Iver album has one of the best collabs with a Haim sister in If Only I Could Wait. I played that song an ungodly number of times this year.
But yeah, definitely check out some of the albums on the list if you haven't.
Happy Holidays to you as well ❤️

i always thought that 21 savage was a gimmick rapper who is mid when you look past his image. okay for a feature sometimes. Him doing more than 100k at all ever is impressive to me.
Future and gunna on the other hand seem to be always dropping semi-viral songs on every album. Organic growing songs that make people check for the next project.

Future does 100-150k consistently, for the most part. That s*** isn't changing anytime soon.
why he didnt include him in the rapper list
