The difference is that she never said it was a tour for 4 albums, then started after only 1 of the albums was released lmao.
This like if Drake announced a “For All The Dogs/$$$/Iceman Tour” and started it in 2023. What is the logic behind that lmao?

How you this loud, stupid, and wrong?

Taylor Swift released Midnights on October 28, 2022.

The Eras Tour was announced November 1st, 2022, with dates from March 2023 to August 2023. The second leg was announced in June 2023, and then the US portion concluded in November 2023.

The Tortured Poets Department was announced on February 4, 2024, and released on April 19, 2024.

Songs from TTPD were incorporated into the setlist of The Eras Tour starting in May 2024, which ran all the way until its conclusion in December 2024.

On the other hand, After Hours was released in March 2020. The After Hours Tour tickets went on sale in February 2020, but then was postponed to 2021, and then postponed to 2022, before being altogether cancelled because of the pandemic.

Dawn FM releases in January 2022, and then the After Hours til Dawn Stadium Tour is announced in March 2022. It begins in July 2022 and runs until November 2022 in NA. Then, the international dates are announced, which go from June 2023 to October 2023. There are a total of four dates in 2024 that were just the Australia dates rescheduled.

Hurry Up Tomorrow releases in January 2025, and the final NA & international leg of the tour is announced, which incorporates songs from the last album into the setlist.

It’s literally the same s***, Taylor just did her dates faster so she managed to get off 149 shows in the span of two calendar years

Because there are no rules to what constitutes a tour and what doesn’t, you can tour ten different albums in a single tour if you want to, you’re complaining about nonsense

YALL NEED TO GO TOUR SOME B****ES

    OR NIGGAS

Semantics. She had a new album out and announced a tour. Yes it was dressed up as a greatest hits collection, but she was touring her new album as well. Same s*** as It’s All a Blur.

The Weeknd announced the AFTER HOURS TIL DAWN TOUR when AFTER HOURS & DAWN FM were both released so again, you’re wrong

All he did was tour the released album, take a break, drop another album, then incorporate that new album into the setlist

Which is exactly what Taylor, Drake, Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, etc. all have done this decade

Except that’s different because album rollouts are things that usually happen within the span of one year. A single is released to build hype, and then somewhere between 6-8 months after that single is out, the album releases. It is unheard of to release a single that doesn’t appear on an album for another five years.

You can’t name several different examples of that the same way I can name several different examples of artists touring for multiple years off multiple albums

It was just explained to you on how/why this happened

Wrong again, it was tied for the most-represented album on the setlist before TTPD released

  • Nov 22, 2025

Arguing over the semantics of a tour name is some of the mind-numbing s*** I've ever read

After Hours is the fourth studio album by the Canadian singer-songwriter the Weeknd. It was released on March 20, 2020, by XO and Republic Records.

Dawn FM is the fifth studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter the Weeknd. It was released on January 7, 2022, by XO and Republic Records.

The After Hours til Dawn Tour is the seventh concert tour by Canadian singer-songwriter the Weeknd. It commenced on July 14, 2022, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, United States...

The tour started after both albums that the tour is named after were released.

Then he dropped the third and final album this year.

So what? The problem is that he dropped another album during the tour? I'm confused

Can you not read? It was announced as a trilogy tour AFTER the first two albums released:

    After Hours releases March 2020

    Dawn FM releases January 2022

The stadium tour was announced March 2022

He’s complaining about literal nonsense that multiple artists do, this is basically industry standard in the 2020s at this point
