It doesn't round up to 30+ tho
Semantics man
25 is closer to 30+ than it is to zero
Kendrick has dropped zero songs as a lead artist in 2025
Cole dropped literally one
Drake has released around 30
He’s been extremely active this year and the genre is still struggling in the mainstream
What song did Cole drop in 2025?
Oh that clouds song forgot about it
Very interesting correlation. Some food for thought
Wrong. Nokia is the biggest rap song released this year. $$$4U is the best-selling album by a rapper released this year. Drake's back catalog reached new highs this year. A few days ago, Headlines was the #1 rap song on Spotify US and he's about to have his biggest streaming year on Spotify yet in 2025. He's ending the year as a top 3 consumed artist of the year. Last year, he was #2.
Drake is doing very well. It's the rest of the mainstream rap landscape that's suffering through a sort of death.

He won't be able to give you answer as to why Playboi Carti's album, which him and many others on here said was the most anticipated rap album of the year, failed to produce even one major hit from 34 songs but Drake, who scored hits like Nokia and Somebody Loves Me this year is being painted as a massive failure.

The way you shift narratives is absolutely ridiculous.
Nobody brought up Playboi Carti because dumbasses aren’t online saying that hip-hop desperately needs him despite him being extremely active this year
If anyone said some dumb s*** like that about Carti they’d be given the same response: that he dropped 30 songs this year

Nokia is the biggest rap song released this year.
Tallest midget
Also funny that you have to specify “released this year” because you know good and well it wasn’t overall the best-performing rap song of the year

Getting outdone by songs from 2024 is literally why people saying the charts are so weak in 2025
If you dropped 25 songs this year and everyone is saying this year has been terrible, then you by default have also been terrible
so what's gonna happen when Morgan Wallen starts outselling Taylor

More variants will get released.

I ain’t even catch that. Why does @thegreatdivine make misleading posts ? This ain’t the first time she did this bullshit

Very fair statement. Drake stans as a collective (I'm included) need to stfu about the state of hip-hop.

I really don’t understand why they’re acting like he’s been absent from the game, he’s been extremely active every year post-2019

i didn't know the state of hiphop is a taboo topic. especially when some losers spent the last year touting how real hiphop is back with kendrick at the forefront. they don't get to back out now that the genre is flopping outside of a few artists. if people want to argue that hiphop is doing great, they're free to do that. its just that they'll just look stupid doing it

Quite frankly, you can ignore those people too. Anyone can release rap music regardless. Not a one of them can take people's music off DSPs or stop listeners from listening.

real hip hop being back has nothing to do charts
Genre is flopping when the quality of music drops, not by how many white girls are bumping your music.
Kendrick/Bad Bunny/Clipse/Rosalia dropped albums within last year and they are all elite
Best year in music in a while, if this is a flop then bring on more flops
