YoungBoy has dropped like 50 albums and Sabrina Carpenter achieved more mainstream success with Short n' Sweet than with anything YoungBoy has dropped. YoungBoy has released 762 songs to Sabrina's 162 songs and she has pulled in more streams than him and is still out-streaming him daily. That answers your question.
This wasn’t even his question
YB was blackballed for years what are we talkin about
We talking about right now
He likes southern rap. TI, Dolph, Bagg.
Iirc he talked about wanting to collab with Kendrick years ago.
Morgan is just a singer. He isn't even credited as a writer on Last Night. The best Country writers come together and pitch him these songs.
He did say he listens to country a little, and he does have some writing credits, but you get it.
I knew bro was a rapper at heart but the no country s*** kinda wild to me ngl
And the not writing
I wouldn't necessarily call YoungBoy a star. What I will credit him with is building a niche, dedicated following that has supported him all these years and are now showing out supporting his tour after not being able to see him perform in like 5 years.

nah yb a star he was just blackballed but he 2 trim so despite all the set backs he had he has what i think is further than a cult fanbase. him and rod wave do NUMBERS they just dominate in places that are what i would consider secondary markets

A whtie woman compared to a nigga from Louisiana, why are we even comparing them
my lil cousin killed himself back in 2019 he was the biggest yb stan i remember when he first popped out this nigga was like bro YB is THE ONE he also called carti being the goat love u jalen u was so fukin right
A whtie woman compared to a nigga from Louisiana, why are we even comparing them
@Nikedufflebag said YB is an example of a new star
I said YB been making music since 2016 and has had success since 2018 so he’s not a new star
@Nikedufflebag said what about Sabrina Carpenter she was releasing music for a decade before she got success
I said it’s not the same because YB has been successful for the past 6-7 years, Sabrina was an unknown for 10+
Divine for some reason thinks @Nikedufflebag was asking which artist is more popular
nah YB aint even a star he a idol lmfao
nigga literally rewired the entire game he got grown men walking different
YB influence crazy
A whtie woman compared to a nigga from Louisiana, why are we even comparing them
Why not
Why not
Only life experience can teach you that
Where's Wayne from
Okay? A legacy act from when rap was peaking is not a good example?
It's much easier, like it has always been, for a white person to be marketed to the masses , an anomaly here and there doesn't change that

Sure, it's easier for a white person to make it but that doesn't make it impossible for a black artist to be bigger
Lame excuse. Youngboy is bigger than Ian and Yeat. Now what?
On topic
https://twitter.com/HipHopAllDayy/status/198402356370026099290210 and Maria I'm Drunk not blowing up was the craziest thing to me during that year lol

Who said impossible? It’s just dumb to compare.
YB is an anomaly who worked twice as hard, but Ian and Yeat are still more easily marketable and will get into rooms YB can’t
Having to explain systemic racism in 2025 is embarrassing, but I’m not surprised considering who I’m talking to
Easily could have. I think you’re severely underestimating the impact it had on the genre. Different features on different albums, more features on more albums, etc. Drake working with these guys carried a lot of weight for the genre. Kendrick doesn’t have that power. He trued to continue his run with them carti records and couldn’t help whatsoever. Two Drake features might have genuinely been hits. I don’t think the Drake stimulus is going to happen anymore and thats a big L for the genre imo.
Oh brother lmao

I don't think it's dumb to compare the commercial success of two artists. But we can disagree.

Midzy the type of person to believe that racism doesn’t exist anymore
