Compositions, hooks and lyrics not connecting with the listeners issue, visual presentation as well. I stand by that cover hindering sales potential (her covers are an issue in general tbh)
I didn't really care for her latest album but yeah, you do bring up some valid points imo.
I would say it's more due to her antics in 2023... honestly
i think it's because the avg listener is into that chapel pop / Country / folk-pop music that Morgan Wallen and that Ordinary guy are delivering. They dont want 80s dance pop.
That's literally the only album she didn't update and she updated the TV version of Speak Now, so?
The point was that Taylor's album discography is up to date (with the exception of Speak Now/The Life of a Showgirl, which literally dropped 3 weeks ago). Drake, in comparison, has at least 6 albums that don't have their certifications updated.
Fym "so". You stated twice in that post that all her albums were up to date besides showgirl, so I corrected you.
And by RIAA standards, his updates are pretty recent.
Moo went viral in 2018
Tia Tamera released in February 2019
Hot Pink dropped in November 2019
Say So rose on the chart and made it to #5 by February 2020
How is she a pandemic star?
How many!?!?

There are no "RIAA standards" for updating certifications. RIAA certifications can be updated every single year because they're not automatically updated — they're requested and paid for through record labels.
The only real reason why labels leave huge gaps between certifications is so that songs/albums have the chance to move considerable units and the fact is that since the last time Drake updated a bulk of his album certifications, they've each sold millions of units. And unlike Taylor Swift, who updated all her albums (minus Speak Now/TLOAS) less than a month ago, about half of Drake's albums are still not up to date with their certifications.
He’s literally correct lol
And as an aside, yes, she’s better than Nicki Minaj so you should feel the need to downplay her

Should put him above Em if he updates the rest. That is, till Em updates his.
I'll give Cardi B her props.
Despite using every tactic in the playbook to inflate her sales, her album is staying afloat better than I thought it would.

If we're keeping it 100, Doja Cat improvised and mastered Nicki's own album formula.
Nicki tried so hard to find the perfect rap/pop balance with her albums but a lot of her pop attempts aged like sour milk.
Doja Cat found a better balance between making good pop music while having serviceable raps. If she was more lyrical or did more features, she'd be ranked higher.

Eminem isn't the same sales behemoth he was 15-20 years ago.
Every album he's dropped in the last 10 years manages to sell just over 1M units before dropping off the Billboard 200 and right now, only his greatest hits album is selling consistently. He's still by far the best-selling rapper of the 90s and the 2000s but Drake will surpass him when its all said and done.
Wild how Daniel Caesar can chart in the Top 5 but Khalid's latest debuted at #136.
